The upcoming wizard RPG based on the world of Harry Potter is pretty highly anticipated, and with the recent trailer at Gamescome Opening Night Live 2022 the developers have now opened up pre-orders. Luckily for us, that also means the official PC system requirements have also been revealed…
Unfortunately for us, Hogwarts Legacy PC system requirements need some pretty powerful magic to run at minimum. Not only will you need a beefy setup just to get 1080p/60fps, you will also need to set the upscaling quality to Performance mode, which on this generation of hardware likely means for AMD FSR.
Additionally, the specs themselves seem pretty unoptimized, as the jump from minimum to recommended is not a whole lot (not unsubstantial either, just not as much as you would expect based on the minimum specs). Coupled with the use of upscaling features means Hogwarts Legacy looks to be a pretty demanding game.
With that said, let’s dive right in and take a look at the official Hogwarts Legacy PC system requirements…
You will need a GTX 1080 Ti or RX 5700 XT graphics card coupled with either a Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600 processor in order to run the Hogwarts Legacy recommended system requirements. You can expect 60fps performance on High graphics settings at 1080p resolution with this hardware. Also, your PC needs 16GB of RAM for the recommended specs.
Hogwarts Legacy needs a GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56 GPU along with a Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600 CPU to match the minimum system requirements, running at 60fps on Low graphics settings at 1080p resolution. Minimum amount of system memory required is 8GB.
As always, you can check how well your PC can handle the Hogwarts Legacy System Requirements on our website, where you can compare benchmarks and performance with other users. We provide a Hogwarts Legacy GPU benchmark chart for comparing your graphics card, as well as a Hogwarts Legacy Frames Per Second system performance chart for your convenience.
