There was another Nintendo Direct this week. It’s a Nintendo Direct where not much was really expected. However, after many leaks, and what they managed to show today, finally Nintendo has had a great Direct!
Despite having shown many new titles, remakes, or extra content for games, there have been certain gems that have shined more than the rest. Of course, we recommend you watch the full Nintendo Direct.
However, here are the five games that have caught our attention the most from this Nintendo Direct.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Remake
Finally, the return of one of Nintendo’s most important franchises! However, it’s not with a new title but with a remake of an amazing GameCube classic.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door returns with an improved graphical style that, thanks to its humor, unpredictable situations, and many more surprises, will make Nintendo Switch players fall in love. Nintendo has announced that the game will arrive in 2024. However, we do not have a precise release date.
Princess Peach: Showtime!
We had a small sneak peek in the last Nintendo Direct. In Princess Peach: Showtime, Peach stars in her first solo adventure. Princess Peach arrives with a platformer that adapts many mechanics from the Super Mario games.
Unlike other Nintendo titles, this game will be based on a giant play. Players must go through each of the screens, or plays, going through each of the obstacles along the way. It’s a very flashy game that will definitely be worth trying on March 22, 2024.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong Remake
Mario vs. Donkey Kong, the classic Game Boy Advance game, returns in a remake for Nintendo Switch. It’s a cult puzzle and platform game that has gained popularity in recent years among fans of these genres.
In this new remake, players will find completely revamped 3D graphics, on par with recent Super Mario Bros. games. In addition, the game features a two-player local co-op mode and other new features that many players will love. It will be available on February 16, 2024.
F-Zero 99 (Nintendo Switch Online)
You can ask many retro gamers about a great futuristic racing title and they will surely tell you F-Zero. This classic, which first arrived on the Super Nintendo, featured an eye-catching format with beautifully rendered sprites. Now, 33 years later, it’s back on the Nintendo Switch.
This futuristic racing game is back as a battle royale. F-Zero 99 presents a graphical upgrade. Best of all, it’s free for everyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The retro-style game is available today.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered
The classic Tomb Raider games return once again, this time in one of those remasters that are really worth it. This collection of the first three titles in the series, plus additional levels, is perfect for those who have never played the Tomb Raider games.
This remaster features improved graphics, enhanced sound effects and soundtracks as well as more detailed environments. However, if you want to live the original experience, you will have the possibility to toggle between classic and new graphics. It’s available on February 14, 2024.
