As rumored earlier, Microsoft Xbox has officially announced the renaming of its Xbox Live Gold membership service, aligning it with Xbox Game Pass for easier promotion in the future. Microsoft has also created a promotional video specifically for this announcement.
Apart from the name change, there are no differences between Xbox Game Pass Core and Xbox Live Gold. The pricing, payment methods, multiplayer game support, and free game library remain unchanged. Existing Xbox Live Gold members do not need to make any adjustments and will be automatically transitioned to Core membership.
